Immer mehr Menschen in der Kreisstadt Eberswalde im Nordosten Brandenburgs haben sich mit dem L\u00e4ufer-Virus infiziert. Auch Ren\u00e9 Hoffmann ist zum L\u00e4ufer geworden, \u00bbweil das Laufen so viele Gl\u00fccksgef\u00fchle ausl\u00f6st\u00ab. Vor 18 Jahren hat er mit befreundeten Unternehmern aus den Gesundheitshandwerken den Eberswalder Stadtlauf ins Leben gerufen. \u00bbAnfangs wurden wir bel\u00e4chelt, weil wir keinerlei Ahnung vom Laufen hatten\u00ab. Auch Ren\u00e9 Hoffmann selbst stand da lieber auf dem Fu\u00dfballplatz. Das Unternehmen wollte aber einen Teamlauf jeder Art auf die Beine stellen. Und sie haben damit den Nerv in der Stadt getroffen. Schon der erste Lauf ist mit 900 Teilnehmern gestartet. \u00bbDas ging ab wie eine Rakete\u00ab. Als die Veranstaltung immer gr\u00f6\u00dfer wurde &#8211; inzwischen z\u00e4hlt sie \u00fcber 2.000 Starterinnen und Starter &#8211; haben die Organisatoren den Verein \u00bbPartner f\u00fcr Gesundheit\u00ab gegr\u00fcndet mit\u00a0 Ren\u00e9 Hoffmann als Vorsitzenden. \u00bbDer Stadtlauf hat sich zu einem bunten Volksfest f\u00fcr die Stadt und die Region entwickelt\u00ab, sagt er. Es k\u00f6nnen Einzell\u00e4ufer und Staffeln starten, es gibt einen Bambini-Lauf, Sch\u00fcler-L\u00e4ufe und L\u00e4ufe f\u00fcr Menschen mit Handicap. \u00bbDie Einnahmen, die wir durch die Startgelder haben, spenden wir an soziale Einrichtungen im gesamten Landkreis.\u00ab Die Vereine, Organisationen und Kitas k\u00f6nnen sich f\u00fcr die Spende bewerben. Hoffmann ist das ganze Jahr \u00fcber mit der Organisation \u2013 von der Werbung bis zu Stra\u00dfensperren \u2013 besch\u00e4ftigt, moderiert am Wettkampftag die Veranstaltung und verteilt die Pokale. Genau wie alle anderen im Team macht er das ehrenamtlich \u2013 neben seinen zwei Augenoptikfachgesch\u00e4ften mit neun Mitarbeitern. \u00bbUns geht es um Zusammenhalt, das Wir-Gef\u00fchl in der Stadt und um das Thema Integration. Beim Sport sind alle gleich, das ist uns \u00fcber die Jahre besonders aufgefallen und eine Herzensangelegenheit.\u00ab Der n\u00e4chste Lauf ist am 15.
